Identificación de Comportamientos y Estrategias Exitosas para la Seguridad Alimentaria
La inseguridad alimentaria impacta a la salud mediante una variedad de mecanismos, incluyendo el hambre, la nutrición, la tensión crónica, y conductas como el dirigir los recursos limitados para algunas necesidades más que a otras. Sustainable Food Center aplicó la desviación positiva—un método de investigación basado en la comunidad que reúne las voces, experiencias, y el conocimiento inherente de los miembros de la comunidad—dentro de las comunidades que servimos para identificar comportamientos y estrategias exitosas para la seguridad alimentaria.

The purpose of this study was to gather low-income community members’ opinions about their food purchasing choices and their perceptions of the most effective ways to increase access to healthful foods in their communities.
